Jeanee Weiss, MBA, MS
President &
Strategy Development Consultant
ThriveVentures allows me to share my knowledge and experience in program and organizational development with purpose-driven leaders to ensure they and their companies can thrive. My “kaleidoscope” career and professional training have spanned the sectors of business, health care, education and nonprofit; thereby allowing me to develop a broad awareness of each intersecting system and affording me the opportunity to develop and apply a host of transferable business and leadership skills.
As a result of my previous work, today over 24,000 children are served annually by new delivery models and programs aimed at improving their health and well-being. Energized by developing teams, designing and implementing innovative services and programs, and finding sustainable, realistic solutions to complex problems, I welcome opportunities to work among organizations and leaders making a difference in our community.
Background:
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas-El Paso in Kinesiology and Education. After a career as a Certified Athletic Trainer, I transitioned full-time to secondary education in Houston, TX and Omaha. During that time, I completed my first master’s degree in K-12 Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After a fortuitous transition to the nonprofit sector and while serving as CEO for a nonprofit organization, I earned my Master’s in Business Administration, also from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Today, I serve on the Douglas County Board of Health, volunteer as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, lead a support group for NICU parents at Children’s Hospital & Medical Center and serve on numerous boards, advisories and committees throughout the community. I live in Omaha with my husband Eric and eight-year-old daughter, Rowen.
